Well, I did some retail therapy today. I went shopping for myself and loaded up on scrappy supplies. Most of this was on sale! Gotta take advantage of a good sale, right? I also got the Page Maps book by Becky Fleck, gotta love that. I have not done this in a long time. I also purchased a kit last night from the Nook, can't wait to get that too! I feel the mojo bubbling deep inside! Off to play with my new goodies.
Well hello everyone, I hope you all had a very merry Christmas. We did! It was nice having all the kids in one room for Christmas morning. They were a little spoiled since Santa went a little overboard on his gifting. I haven't' been on this last week because my game room was under construction in preparation for Christmas. My darling husband replaced the sliding glass door (that didn't slide very well) with new, beautiful french doors. I love them! He also took out the carpet and put in wood. So much better. It all makes a wonderful place to congregate and play the new Wii or other games as a family!
I happened upon an up and coming online kit company called Art Freckles today. They have some dynamite kits that I would love to get my hands on. I participated in their weekly challenge. It was an ad challenge and I loved it. I created the "Deck the halls!" layout just for that. It worked so well with the ornament picture that I had just taken. I loaded up on Christmas clearance at Cracker Barrel.
Well, off to surf the net and scrapbook a little while the baby sleeps! Happy New Year to come!
Wow, has it really been since Aug. since I posted? Well, I finally had our newest addition. Mary Ciera was born in Oct. Some complications that put her in ICU for 4 days but she is fine and dandy now. I have been taking it easy and enjoying my cuddle time with her for the last two months. Since this is our last baby, I really wanted to take it all in. I am back in the scrappy mode now and can't wait to get back on the boards. I miss chatting with everyone and feel like I have really missed out on so much with everyone. I am creating some layouts with my newest scrappy subject and can't wait to get them posted. Check back soon!!
One of the reasons I have gotten so many layouts done this month was because I was participating in a use your stash challenge at Scrapdango. It has been a great month there. I have also been participating in the DT call challenge. I love that they did it this way instead of a regualar call. It challenged us all to create some great layouts. So many talented people participated...Now the wait is on to see who makes the team. Here are a few more layouts that I have completed this month, hope you like.
I have been on a mission. I am bound and determined to use up some of the stash that I have accumilated over the last 6 years. I have done 55+ layouts and a card in the last 14 days. All but 3 were done with stash and/or scraps. Today I have not cut a whole piece of pp. The only whole pieces I have used have been for the base of the page. I am so proud. I want to reduce the stash before I buy anything from CHA. I know if I get new stuff, I will be tempted to use it first.
My kids are driving me nuts. I am getting really tired of having to tell them to do their chores. My ds was supposed to paint the decks (as repayment for his new pet) and I have had to tell him 100 times a day to go work on it for the last 3 weeks. If I could I would have just done it myself would have been so much easier. My girls are getting just as bad. I don't know what to do, it is so frustrating. Any suggestions?
OK, last night I was up until 3 am scrapping. DH thinks he has been abandoned (well, he has). I was on a roll and there was no stopping me. I created several (10) layouts last night. Here are a few of my favorites.
You will find it at Scrap Schemes Check out this weeks art inspiration and boy does it spark my fire. I have so many thoughts going thru my crazy head I can 't wait to go scrap. The DT there did an awesome job with their work. Everything from altered art, layouts and cards to inspire you.
I have been working up a storm trying to complete the kids Disney albums from last summer. I can't say that all the layouts are DT quality layouts but it is nice to just scrap randomly. I am using some Theme paper and often wonder why the heck I bought this, but I did so I am going to use it (not my favorite!) I do sneak in a layout every now and then using regular paper. Did one tonight of the Pink Power Ranger. You can ck it out at Serendipity Scrapbooks.
Lucy Chesna has started an All About Me challenge blog. She is looking for DT memebers if you are interested. I can't wait for this to get up and running I have been working on some old kid photos of myself and want to start doing old family photos but just not there yet. Check it out So Tell Me Your Story
Wow people, sorry I have not been on here in so long. I can't believe how time has slipped by. Pregnacy memory loss I guess. Summer has been busy, I am not working this summer (first time in a while) and the kids and I have been to the pool a lot and just doing stuff together. My mojo was miss too but I think I have found it. I have been working on layouts to finish up a cruise album that I started two years ago. I am trying to use up older stuff in plans to restock after CHA. Lots of yummy stuff coming out and I want to have a place for it. Have you checked out the new Daisy Bucket stuff, it is so yummy and has great colors for the pages I have been working on. Ok, off to clean the scrappy area. I promise not to stay gone so long. Check out my new pages at Scrappin With Grace
Wow, yes it has been over a month since I posted. So so sorry! for those of you that don't already know...I just found out this month that we are expecting our 5th child. No this was not on purpose but we have settled into the idea and are excited. I have to admit though, being prego at such an old age has taken a toll on me so far. There are two kits for March at both featuring papers my Making Memories. I had the pleasure of working with the Sophia line. Oh my this kit rocked my world. I completed 7 layouts in 2 nights using this and just could not stop. Too bad I ran out of paper or I might have gone on forever. It is so versitile. I used it with wedding photos, cruise photos and even disney photos. It will be available March first. There are some great add ons too. Here is a sneek peek at some of the layouts that I did using this kit.

Addicted Scrapper has 3 kits available for February. All three are packed full of goodies. I worked with the Hey Sugar kit featuring Cosmo Cricket papers. I had such a great time, these papers were so easy and versitile to work with. You did't have to just Valentine layouts with them. In fact, I don't think I did any, but I "LOVED" them all. Here are my favorites, check out the rest at Addicted Scrapper.
Priceless Scrapbooks currently has several Design team member opportunities available. We are looking for individuals who can and will meet deadlines, are creative, enjoy being on a message board and contributing to a team environment.
Well come on over to a brand new site, Priceless Scrapbooks I, along with Christa (amooreto), am the new Sketch Artist. I am providing weekly sketch challenges in various sizes. This is a brand new site and is really growing quickly, come be a part of the beginning of something awesome.
Wow, I just received my first DT kit for Addicted Scrapper and it is awesome. I have done 5 layouts and one card in two nights. It really got my mojo working. Come on over and see what is going on. I can't show you the layout until Feb. 1 :-( sorry, will have to check back then to see what I created. The Feb. kit has Cosmo Cricket Hey Sugar, Scenic Route Loveland, and MME Kiss and Tell. All fabulous companies.
This week we had to use Flair products, just so happened I had plenty of this in my stash. The other criteria was "white space" oh, that is a scary thing for me. I ususally fill up the page, so a void area? hummm...but I did it and I am pleased. This is a photo of my youngest dd when she was about 6 months. Wow how time flies, she is almost 41 (cry cry sniffle sniffle). Winners of the contest will be revealed February 2 at our Monthly Crop. Stop in, check out the winner and participate in some croppin fun!! See you there!
We took the girls to the Ft. Worth Stockshow and Rodeo last night. They looked so cute in their little cowgirl boots. If it would have been up to them we would have brought a llama, baby pig, baby chick, baby duck, a calf and a horse home. The little piggys were adorable I have to admit. The rode the rides, fed the animals, ate corndogs and watched the rodeo with cotton candy (yummy if I do say so). It was a great family night. Hope everyone else had a good week, can't wait for the weekend and time to scrap.
I just can't believe it?!?!?!?! I am the new DT coordinator for Scrappin' With Grace. I just can't believe it. I am so excited to be a part of their site. What a great day it is and a swell beginning to 2008. We are selecting a new DT to kick off the new year, stop by and see what we have planned for 2008!!! Oh, did I say that I was excited???? Thanks Kristen for giving me this opportunity to shine and Nicole for your support!
This weeks challenge was right up my alley. Create a layout with "icing", you know Bling!! I love using bling, be it gems, glitter, or stickles. It is all good. I just love this photo of my youngest. She is such the little mommy and this was one of her Christmas presents. Go to Scrappin With Grace and check out this weeks competition, these girls are rockin'.
Well, I haven't entered a contest in a while so I thought I would head on over to Scrappin with grace and enter the Winter Wonderland contest. Here is my contest entry for Week 1. The assignment was a year in review with 5+ photos.
Happy New Year everyone. I am starting the new year with completing 31 layouts in January. I am participating in Big Picture Scrapbooking's Load a Day challenge. I hope to finish more than 31. I am enjoying my winter break from school but sad to say I have to go back to work next week. It will be a long haul until Spring Break.
